Beginning on the Warren‑Clarke County line at a point approximately 600 feet east of the SW Corner Section 33‑T74N‑R24W, Warren County (NW Corner Section 4‑T73N‑R24W, Clarke County); thence in a northeasterly, northerly and northeasterly direction through Sections 33, 34, 27, 26, 23, 14 and 11‑T74N‑R24W to a point approximately ¼ mile east and 400 feet north of the center of Section 11‑T74N‑R24W; thence north following substantially the east quarter‑section line of Sections 11 and 2‑T74N‑R24W and Section 35‑T75N‑R24W to a point approximately ¼ mile west and 800 feet north of the SE Corner Section 35‑T75N‑R24W; thence in a northeasterly direction through Section 35 and 36‑T75N‑R24W to a point approximately 400 feet east of the W ¼ Corner Section 36‑T75N‑R24W; thence east to a point approximately 300 feet east of the center of Section 36‑T75N‑R24W; thence curving in a northeasterly direction to a point approximately 300 feet south of the center of the NE ¼ Section 36‑T75N‑R24W; thence north following substantially the east quarter section line of Sections 36, 25 and 24‑T75N‑R24W to a point near the center of the SE ¼ Section 24‑T75N‑R24W; thence in a northerly direction to a point approximately 1,425 feet west of the E ¼ Corner Section 24‑T75N‑R24W (junction US 65); thence in a northerly direction through Sections 24, 13 and 12‑T75N‑R24W to a point approximately 4,150 feet north of the SE Corner Section 12‑T75N‑R24W; thence north following substantially the section line of Sections 7 and 6‑T75N‑R23W to the south corporation line of Indianola, connecting with Jefferson Way.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

US 69 begins on the Warren‑Clarke County line approximately 1 ½ miles south and 5 miles east of New Virginia, and travels generally northerly to the Warren‑Polk County line approximately 4 ½ miles west of Carlisle, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records US 69 in Warren County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of US 69 in Warren County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
